UNWANTED & NEGLECTED

To me, to be unwanted and neglected is the most awful thing in life. i mean everyone wants to love and be loved. Or it should be, everyone has the right to love and to be loved. Moreover, in 1949, unwanted daughters were peddled as slaves. Isn't THAT awful?! We, as people, live to love. Neglectionn is seriously cruel. Especially if it is from your own parents. Now, neglection brings a great impact to ones emotions. Sad and anger will be combined and that when comes the revenge story comes in. Ones again I would say that being unwanted and to be neglected is the most awful thing in life that you may ever come over. Try being one if you aren't satisfied.

CAUGHT IN A STORM

To be caught in a storm on a mountain, when hiking, is a really, really bizarre experience.Just imagine yourself stucked 1 600 feet above the mountain's base on a three-foot ledge. From there you could see big cauliflower clouds boiling up. Even if the storm eased, the thrill and fear of it will still be there. What if you were to rappel down? What if you suddenly you get hypothermia? And what if suddenly a storm exploded on you in a chaos of wind, water and noise. And if you were to make a shelter, that bivouac shelter thrashed wildly in the storm and spray began seeping in. By then you can forget a good-night's-sleep. you will have to continue your journey. However, there was an explosion of light and head-numbling noise. Then, a massive electric charge pass up your legs from the soles of your feet. Your right leg felt as though it were being groung in a vise. Pain was slowly fading to numbness when you were hammered once more by dazzling glare and noise. The storm raged on as if it were never going to stop. Coldness of the breezing wind clutch into your veins. By that time, you will long to be in flames. Freedom is what you want. From the wind, the cold, the hike, the storm, the FEAR!

She was unsure on what were the cause of the incident.

40 year old, Inspector Abdul Rahman said "There were streams of blood on the road and that will really help us on our investigation. He was sure that the offender was drunk as the hidden CCTV shows that the BMW 130I 3DR was seen going in all directions and it seems that the car was not controlled diligently. Inspector Abdul Rahman was also shocked by what was left of the motorcycle.

when interviewed, Inspector Abdul Rahman advised drivers to drive carefully and not to talk on the phone when driving. He had also added that if to calling or answering that phonecall is seriously very necessary, kindly use an earphone or invest on a bluetooth. Otherwise never use a handheld phone when driving.

Although the police are working really hard on the case and it is sure to be solved, bystanders or eye-witnesses are urged to come forward with information on the license plate number of the vehicle(s) involved in the hit-and-run accident.

A hit-and run incident is a very serious offence. Therefore be diligent when driving and do not drink and drive!

Chek Jawa Situational Writing

Chong Boon Secondary School
2 Ang Mo Kio Street 44
Singapore 569250

Dear Chong Boonnites,

Tour to Chek Jawa

I am Shu'ada, president of the Green Club. We have decided to arrange a guided trip to Chek Jawa as it is a popular nature enclave in Pulau Ubin. Its widespread of marine flora and fauna is sure to grab your attention. Marine sea creatures such as sea anemones awaits you too!

Chek Jawa had re-open to the public on 8th of July, 2007. The new boardwalk running along the coast and into the mangrove area allows you to to get up close to plant and marine life such as fiddler crabs and monitor lizards, without damaging the area. At the visitor centre, you can learn more about Chek Jawa's wildlife.

All this nature beauty would make an eye-opening for you and let you really know what nature is all about. This trip would not only widened your knowledge but it will also let you understand why we should preserve all this nature and make an outlook for the future generations.

As you would be able to see more during a low-tide, we have decided to make it on the oncoming Thursday(23/07), 2.30pm sharp at the Foyer. Transportation is available to and fro. We would appreciation it if you have a quick lunch before this trip as we will not be stopping at any vendor to fill stomachs.

Do join us as this would be your only chance to be there and experience nature. We promise to make this trip an unforgettable one for you.

Yours faithfully

MY VIEWS ON TERRORISM

According to an online dictionary, terrorism is :

  1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
  2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
  3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government

I had never cared about terrorism as I know that Singapore is a safe and peaceful country. However, after Mas Selamat exist, i had started to learn more about it. i started to be more aware of terrorism. Honestly, I am afraid of terrorism. I think everybody is- we should be. Terrorism is a great danger both to the country and the people involving it. It is between life and death. Innocence get killed too. In order to prevent terrorism, I think we should just "make friends" with other countries especially our neighbouring countries- just like Singapore does it! I cannot do much as I am just a normal 14-year old school girl. However I will try my best and see if I can do more in the future.
